Laser Therapy

Drs. Morse and Cwiklinski are proud to offer the latest technology available for periodontal disease treatment: laser therapy. 

Uses for Laser Therapy:

Drs. Morse and Cwiklinski can perform a variety of procedures using laser technology, such as a frenectomy, bone and gingiva recontouring, reduction of bacteria under the gingiva, and bone regeneration.  We use a combination of two different lasers, Nd:YAG and Er:YAG to accomplish this.  Each laser has a different wavelength, which is turn acts on different types of tissue in the body.  This gives us many more options and ways to treat periodontal disease as opposed to using just one or the other type of laser.  Lasers have advantages and disadvantages and conventional methods of treating periodontal disease are still the best option in many situations.   Drs. Morse and Cwiklinski will evaluate your needs and can discuss whether or not laser treatment may be a good option.
